When I’m hurt, I shut down. I turn into a total sarcastic bitch. I shut off my emotions, and act indifferent towards everything even though it might be killing me inside.

DOGS AND CATS CANNOT BE VEGETARIANS!! OCCASIONAL pieces of vegetable are ok, but not all the time
BUT NOT FOR CATS. CATS ARE STRICTLY CARNIVORES. THEIR DIGESTIVE SYSTEM CANNOT HANDLE PLANT MATTER.
This is why, if you catch your cat eating grass, it is EATING GRASS BECAUSE IT FEELS ILL AND WANTS TO MAKE ITSELF THROW UP TO POSSIBLY GET THE BAD THINGS OUT OF ITS TUMMY. It is NOT eating grass because “omnivore”!! Cats are CARNIVORES.
after talking to people in my micro class who also got a shitload of their grade taken off for grammar/english whatever i called out my professor on it during class and basically told him like you didn’t tell us that was something you were even grading so how is it fair that you can take 20% of the grade away for minor errors that have nothing to do with the content, and he was all hurr it’s only ten points, and i was like i understand that, but it’s still 20% of the grade and it’s the principle of it that’s important to me. so after class he was like i sense that you’re angry and i’m like um no i’m annoyed because you gave no indication that you were grading on anything but the content and considering this is a science course and not an English class we wouldn’t think of it, and he was like okay i’ll give you guys rubrics in the future and i’ll go back and change it so that i only take away .25 of a point instead of half a point so yeah now i got an A on the thing and so did most other people in the class hallelujah
Some things friends/family in Hong Kong have shared with me today.
The people of Hong Kong are fighting for their right to democracy, free speech, and un-censored information. Protests have shut down major parts of the city. Police are attacking protesters with pepper spray and tear gas. Tanks are rolling through the streets.
In the West, Hong Kong is often lumped together with China. Many aren’t aware of the city’s incredibly complex, diverse culture, independent of China. Don’t overlook this. Don’t sit back as China breaks the promises it made to Hong Kong, endangering the lives and freedom of over seven million people.
Spread this like fire. We may be far away, but we can raise awareness.
I’m just going to put this here again, because as impressive as the professional photos on BBC/NYT/etc are, all of these pictures are from family/friends of mine, all of whom are people who are currently in Hong Kong, living through this. Perhaps just to me, that is more powerful than anything I’ll see on the front of a newspaper.
